My very first Visual Novel!

I Made My First Visual Novel
Hello can anyone hear me? Is anyone reading this?
So a dev blog.. What am I going to write here?
I mean, I released the first Demo build of my visual novel and that's it. I have no idea if someone is going to play it or read the dev blog - but I'll type it out anyway.
Early 2024 I really got into some Visual Novels here on Itch.io and I have decided to start making one myself. I have been working on this project since mid June and the goal was to release the first build to the public before Christmas. Looks like goal accomplished.
So what is this game about?
So this game is everything I love about story in video games - not how it's told but the genre and elements in it.
I'm a gamer too, just like you. I like FPS games, I like anime, I like Fantasy and Science Fiction Story. So I fused all of them together.
Imagine, the Anime named GATE (yes that one with long a** name) with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and a dash of Final Fantasy XIV influence in it.
I could rewrite the summary of the story here OR you can just go on the game page and play it.
Why am I making this game?
Well, there was this discussion I had with my best friend while we were watching animes together: "How many machine gun rounds would it take to kill a fire dragon? Would napalm hurt it? Can Heat Seeker rockets actually target fire dragons, since they'd probably have lot of heat in it?"
But I want to go to deeper than that? How would our world respond to this kind of stuff? I'd go deeper into it but I might spoil too much about the game itself... There's still so much world building to do!
What is my expectation with this project?
Honestly, the first milestone is probably to have a few player beside my friends actually give this game a go.
Next would be to create a follower group / community surrounding this game. If it gets big enough I might even make a discord for it.
It's my first visual novel.. actually first game I actually publish online for the public anywhere and I have to admit, I'm somewhat nervous of possible mean comments that could come with the beauty of anonymous internet. What if people find it too cringe? I'm trying to stay positive but please be kind to me guys ;_;
Anyway if you, the reader, do decide to play the game, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
I hope you have a good time playing it. I'll continue to do my best for this project.
